Konstantinos Tsavalas is a landscape architect with 25 years of experience in landscape design projects and site supervision for projects on a variety of scales.
He studied Landscape Architecture (1986) and Urban Renovation(1993) in Brussels. He collaborated with several Belgian architectural and technical offices , involved in a wide range of large scale projects from preliminary and final design to implementation Design.His work includes public parks in Belgium ( Park Tenbosch-Brussels) ,park Antoing (Antoing Belgium) ,Planting design and restructuring of the TGV line slopes , Planting design and Reforestation of disused quarries.
Since 1996, he has worked in Athens as an independent landscape architect collaborating with construction companies and architects in a variety of residential and public projects.
His experience in the mediterranean landcsape with objective the ecological design, the sustainability, the landscape ecology, and functionality includes planting designs for plazzas ,parks,pedestrian ways. His designs focuses on nature and the dynamic of natural vegetation.
His intention and goal with the choice of planting is to infiltrate the natural landscape into a constructed urban space ensuring their sustainability and longevity and to create a harmonious and familiar space composed of textures and smells
The design approach manages all design scales form the large scales – landscape strategies to the construction scale
In 2018, he created KTLA Landscape Architects Ltd., bringing together his experience and that of his collaborators specializing in large scale plots for hardscaping and softscaping design. They are able to successfully support large-scale landscape projects, coordinating multi-disciplinary teams ranging from schematic design to technical design and implementation design.
